Summer Learning Journey-Day 1 (Practise)

Why did you choose the blue?

I chose blue to represent Samoa.

Why did you choose white and black?

I chose white and black because I wanted to represent the Maori who let other country come to NZ.

And last why did you choose red?

I chose red to represent my Coulter. TONGA!. I wouldn't leave my country out of the flag.

This is would be the New Zealand in my images.

  1. Kia ora Akosita,

I absolutely love how you incorporated a number of cultures into the flag you created. I can see that you have thought hard about how you could create an inclusive flag. Have you thought about what the cross represents?

I cannot wait to see many more of your posts over the Summer Learning Journey.

    Have an amazing day,
Megan from the Summer Learning Journey

  2. Guten tag Akosita,
my name is Cia. I am a Summer Learning Journey blogger who will be working with you over the summer break.

I find it cool how you included your culture as well as others in your New Zealand flag design. It really reflects a bit of our multicultural country. I like the colours you have selected, as they are in our current flag. I would love to know what the cross symbol in your design means.

If you could add something else special about New Zealand to your flag, what would it be?

Good start to the Summer Learning Journey Akosita, I look forward to reading more of your blog posts!

Toe feiloa’i fo’i ('See you again' in Samoan),

    Cia.
